To My Dear Friends and Supporters,
I hope this message finds everyone in the best of health and most joyous spirits. I am doing fine and my health is good. Fortunately I was not infected with the corona virus. There were a few prisoners and guards infected at the institution during the early stage of the pandemic. However, there have been no new cases of the virus at this institution during the last several months. I agreed to be vaccinated a couple of months ago. Other than feeling soreness in my arm I didn't have any bad reactions. On June 5th the prison administration eased restrictions and we now have the option to wear a mask or not. Visitation has also reopened.
As for legal updates: On March 18th 2021 the Florida Supreme Court (FSC) issued an Corrected Opinion in response to our Rehearing Motion filed on February 27th 2020. However, they did not addressed the claims in our Rehearing Motion filed on February 27th 2020. We were given another opportunity to file another Rehearing Motion in response to the FSC Corrected Opinion. So, my lawyer filed a strong Rehearing Motion on April 5th 2021. We are currently awaiting the FSC response to that one. My lawyer and I are also looking into the possibility of challenging the conclusion of the ballistic tests due to the questionable methods used by the prosecutor's so-called ballistic expert.
Please continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Please continue to be supportive and confident in this fight for justice. I need your help because I can't do this alone.
